La baie de Veys with la pointe de Brévands is at 5km distance. It is stretched out over 4000 hectares of beach which is accessible in times of low tide. The bay is very rich in fauna and flora.

The local town of Carentan, with all essential amenities, is 6 km away and holds its large outdoor market in the town square every Monday.
Carentan has also a pleasure port where you can take a walk down by the canal to the lock and a
new swimmingpool whit several accomodation, who opened recently his doors.

Other places in the immediacy are: St Mère Eglise at 10km; Bayeux, with its worldwide famous tapestry at 25 km; Cherbourg at 50 km and the Mont St Michel at 105 km.

The multiple villages on the coast of the peninsula deserve most certainly a visit. The most famous ones are Port en Bessin, Barfleur, Cape de la Hague, Barneville-Carteret and Portbail.

The main beaches to visit are the famous World War 2 D-Day beaches, the closest being Utah which is about 15 km North, then further down
the coast in the direction of Bayeux are Omaha, Juno and Sword Beaches.
Over there, you also find many war museums and the remarkable American cemetery and memorial.
